A few years ago, I had a business idea that I knew could help people. I bought the domain. Sketched out the concept in a Google Doc. Told a few friends. And then? I froze.

Because I didn’t know if it was good enough. I wasn’t sure what to do first. And I definitely didn’t have the time or money to waste on something that might flop.

So I did nothing.

If that’s where you are — sitting on an idea you believe in but unsure how to move forward — I’ve got something for you.

This week’s newsletter covers an abbreviated version of an article I recently published, which walks you through exactly how to validate your business idea and launch in 5 simple steps.

You don’t need a full-blown business plan or a fancy setup — just a real problem you’re solving and a way to test it.

Here’s the tl;dr

  • Define the problem clearly. You’re not selling a product — you’re solving a pain point. Get specific.

  • Talk to real people. Reach out to 5–10 folks who might want what you’re building. Ask them what they’ve tried, what’s worked, and what’s missing.

  • Do some lightweight research. Google, Reddit, Amazon reviews — get curious about what’s already out there.

  • Put out a simple test offer. A one-page guide. A discounted coaching session. A beta version of your service. Something real but scrappy.

  • Launch with the basics. A clear offer, a way to get paid, and a way to deliver. That’s it. You can brand it later.

It doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to be real.

Because real gets feedback.

Real gets shared.

Real can start making money — even if it’s only $50 at first.

And once something exists, you can improve it. You can grow it. You can turn it into the business you’ve been dreaming about.

Quick question before you scroll — I’d love to know where you’re at on your business journey:

Where are you right now when it comes to starting or running a business?
